I am saddened by the closing of escorts.com. I'm not sure why they folded; they didn't share the reasons with their members. It could have been simply due to competition and lack of paying subscribers, but there are other possibilities. I know one of their affiliates caused some problems for them and that they had complied with several FBI requests to help ensure there was no child trafficking or other illegal activity was taking place on their site. They started requiring proof of identity via valid credit card, they removed any questionable provider information and they stripped away the reviews until they could be revamped to not contain elicit content. Before they finished with that process, they announced they would be closing.

Whatever the reason, I am sad about it. Escorts was a very nice site, well designed and classy.
